Valk Loyal Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions apply to the Valk Loyal program offered to guests of all Van der Valk hotels.

General

Valk Loyal is a loyalty program that enables guests to accrue and redeem credit when making online reservations through a Valk Account.

Participation in Valk Loyal is only possible if the reservation is made online via the official Van der Valk online channels and is linked to a Valk Account.

Valk Loyal is jointly offered for all Van der Valk hotels, including Van der Valk Hotels & Restaurants and Valk Exclusief hotels.

The official online channels of Van der Valk include the central websites, applications, and individual hotel websites of all Van der Valk hotels, through which reservations are made directly with the respective hotel.
Reservations made through third parties, including travel agencies and external booking platforms, are excluded from Valk Loyal.

Valk Account

To participate in Valk Loyal, the guest must create a personal Valk Account.

A Valk Account is personal and linked to a single email address.

Valk Loyal credit cannot be transferred to another Valk Account or combined with another Valk Account.

Earning Valk Loyal Credit

Valk Loyal credit is accrued exclusively on online reservations made via the official Van der Valk online channels and linked to a Valk Account.

If the guest was not logged into their Valk Account at the time of booking, the reservation may still be linked to the Valk Account, provided that:

• the reservation was made via the official Van der Valk online channels; and

• the same email address was used for the reservation as the one used to register the Valk Account.

The amount of Valk Loyal credit accrued depends on the booked rate:

• for standard room rates: €5 Valk Loyal credit per room per night;

• for reduced rates (including packages and non-refundable, last-minute, and promotional rates): €2.50 Valk Loyal credit per person per stay.

No Valk Loyal credit is accrued for corporate reservations or certain promotional or partner bookings (such as bookings made via the Albert Heijn Voordeelshop).

Valk Loyal credit is only credited after check-out from the hotel.

Valk Loyal credit cannot be granted retroactively for reservations made or completed prior to the creation of a Valk Account.

Viewing Valk Loyal Credit

Accumulated Valk Loyal credit can be viewed after logging into the Valk Account under the section “Valk Loyal”.

The credit is linked to the email address used for the reservation.

Redeeming Valk Loyal Credit

Valk Loyal credit may only be redeemed in connection with a subsequent online hotel reservation made via the Valk Account.

Redemption is possible during the “summary” step of the booking process, provided the guest is logged in.

Valk Loyal credit:

• may only be used for hotel stays;

• cannot be exchanged for cash or (digital) gift vouchers;

• cannot be transferred to other Valk Accounts.

Validity of Valk Loyal Credit

Valk Loyal credit remains valid for three (3) years from the date of accrual.

The expiry date is visible in the Valk Account under “Valk Loyal”.

If the credit is not redeemed within this period, it will automatically expire.

The guest will be notified by email prior to the expiry of the Valk Loyal credit.

Questions Regarding Balance

If a reservation has been correctly made via the Valk Account but no Valk Loyal credit has been credited, the guest may contact the hotel where the stay took place.

Exclusion of Valk Bonus Balance

Valk Bonus balance is a separate loyalty benefit offered exclusively by Valk Exclusief hotels.

Valk Bonus balance does not form part of Valk Loyal as offered via van der Valk Hotel Group website.

It is not possible to accrue, view, or redeem Valk Bonus balance via this website.

Amendments and Termination

The provider reserves the right to amend or terminate the Valk Loyal program or these Terms and Conditions.

Any amendments will be communicated in a timely manner via the official Van der Valk online channels.

Any Valk Loyal credit already accrued will immediately lose its validity upon termination of the Valk Account.

Misuse or Unlawful Activity

In the event of suspected misuse or unlawful activity relating to the Valk Account or Valk Loyal, the provider reserves the right to block the Valk Account, resulting in the forfeiture of any Valk Loyal credit accrued.
